The only time they keep an original is the first time. After that they never keep the original but return it to you when you return.
My wife and I only had 2 AP originals when we applied last year and made 2 trips outside the US. So relax and dont worry. You're fine.

Guys..i have noticed that so many other members has already been complained about the getting Red dots for no reason...i got the red for this post for just a spell mistake. As per the FAFSA application to be eligible-non citizen one should have a valid I-94 with a valid parole stamp at the time of applying.
My daughter is in same situation & I have applied for her AP. After she receives it I am planning to go to CANADA with her. she will re enter on her AP.

The dates in the first couple of sentences are all messed up ( came to US through Company A in June 2007 and was with them until Dec 2006...........I joined Company B in Jan of 2007(change of H1) and was with them until April of 2007. )
It would help to answer if you can correct the dates.
I received an RFE from USCIS 10 days after the date on the letter and need to respond in 33 days.

I joined Company B in Jan of 2007(change of H1) and was with them until April of 2007. I joined Company C in April 2007(change of H1) and been with them since. Company C would not do my GC.
During the July 2007 fiasco, Company A agreed to give me an offer letter that I submitted with my 485 application and my attorney (a good reputed one) mentioned in the application that I was working for company C.
I got an RFE now stating that I did not send my sealed medical exam which I had done and we have a scan of what was sent. They also want �a current letter of employment attesting to your offer of proposed employment. This letter should be written on the company�s official letterhead and cite the date you will begin working, whether the position is temporary or permanent , a description of the position, a description of the position that you currently hold for the company (if any), and offered salary�
Is this RFE bad? Now my attorney suggests that since I had filed 485 through company A and I did not really invoke AC21 that I should give a new offer letter from Company A (they are willing to give one). My question is if I do that will there be further questions? The company I work for is a bigger one and Company A is really a body shopper, so I want to go with the letter from the current company. Also since it more than 2 years since I applied for 485 can I say I invoked AC 21? When can I disassociate myself from company A as I do not want to lose my current job.

Advanced degree = MS and higher
Generally STEM - Science, Technology, Engineering and Math all fall under Science/Engineering colleges. Anthing out of this college including MBA, MA, Accountancy, Marketing etc are not included in STEM.
Are you getting this from official sources? I think Accountancy, Marketing and so on would qualify as long as the degree is a Master of Science.

Note that once you get a new passport the old one will be stamped as cancelled. So effectively you only get to use the new passport and all stamping will be done on that.

did you by any chance not send the extra $15 or so which guarantees overnight delivery. My experience is that I got my new passport back within 7 days. Same with my wife's passport. This is SF I am talking about.

Option 5 is true for J1, since H1 is not a training visa however I do not think you can get an extension. For J1 it is a simple matter of getting a new sponsorship (used to be called IAP 66) from ECFMG.

For a long time, between 2001 to late 2004, All PDs (EB1-EB5) were current. Main reason for this was, labor certification used to take 2-4 years during that time. If you do not have labor certification coming out, you always have visa numbers available. Just when PERM hit, retrogression came in to the picture.

I wanted to tell that only last year's tax return was needed. Nothing else.
USCIS can ask for previous tax return any time. you maynot have tofile now but better to clean that. refile 1040X and pay the taxes and interst. you will be fine. IRS is good if you accept your mistake instead of catching you later.

It would be great if you tell me how to go about with police complain for lost passport? Is it just I have to call 911 or go in person? And what questions they ask?

You should not call 911. You should call the county police, they will ask you either to walk in to the nearest police station or some times you can ask the police officer to meet at a particular place. In my case I asked the police officer to come to the nearest Fedex Kinko's. He came to Kinko's sat with me and asked simple questions. The officers are usually very helpful and he/she will provide you a complaint no, and visiting card. You need this complaint no. when you are applying for a duplicate passport.

Just use available tools to educate people using simple terms. Using 6-degree rule we should be able to reach lots of people.
-- My first idea is to use facebook to run a campaign - prepare a literature - 8-10 point about EB based immigration & everyone post on their facebook page ..with an easy click (if they support) for readers to post on their walls : posting on wall == supporing it. then see how many people support us .. idea is to reach the masses....

If I were to file EB2 now,
1. Can I use ads done for somebody else, to save time.
2. Should the ad in the paper say "Masters needed, or Bachelors + 5 years".
Is this point 2 very important in the ad itself.

I dont have any changes to status when I check my 485 case status online but today in the mail i received I797c notice welcoming me as a premenant residence. I am a bit hesitant to celebrate, but am I seeing green?:o

Well optimism and positive thinking is the only way up in life mate. Anyways we all know wht happened last year wherer so many people got there ead in a year from first stage. There were lucky hope v r too. Thats the optimism.
The way u r replying seems to be u r one of those in that frustated waiting list. I only can wish u the best.
